Getting Started with A List & Filter

This guide is here to help you get up and running quickly with CMS Plus. It skips the finer details and focuses on the basics: displaying your collection list and setting up a single filter. For a deeper dive into settings, configurations, and advanced features, check out the full documentation to unlock the true potential of CMS Plus.

Start with Your List: Collection+

Collection+ is the central hub for managing your collection list. Here’s how to set it up:

  • Link your collection list frame and a custom frame (for a "no results" state) to Collection+.

  • Assign it a unique ID number—this ID is exclusive to your list but can be referenced by other CMS Plus components.

Adding a Filter

Adding a filter is simple:

  1. From all the Filter+ components, select the same type as the collection field you want to filter.

  2. Drop a Filter+ directly onto your page.

  3. Assign it the same ID you gave your Collection+ component.

  4. Configure the rest, like the collection field name, filter condition, etc.

That’s it! Your filter is now linked to your list. When the page loads, CMS Plus detects and auto-filters your collection.

Unleash the Power of Customization

Sure, adding a filter straight onto the page is functional—but it’s not exciting. The magic of CMS Plus lies in integrating it into your custom components. This allows you to:

  • Interactively toggle filters as you interact with your design.

  • Set reusable variables for a more dynamic and scalable setup.

With CMS Plus, your filters become part of your design’s DNA, unlocking a new level of interactivity and control.
